Both of our guest bedrooms are located in the basement. The floor plan mirrors the upstairs exactly so each bedroom is positioned directly below the two bedrooms upstairs. In guest bedroom #1, we built a custom feature wall (using pine lattice board) to bring some warmth and texture into the room. Originally we left it untreated so that the blond wood would brighten up the space and contrast the dark walnut of the vintage bedroom set. After time, we decided to paint it black to add some more dimensionality to the space.
